I expected as much. The Verizon iPhone annuncement was a laugh. Stuck on CDMA, stuck on 3G despite Verizon’s claims at a 4G network. Buy a Verizon iPhone 4 and be tied to Verizon FOREVER. Of course, you could buy an iPhone 4 today, jailbreak it, and after your contract is up (or before if you pay the full price) go to T-Mobile or Sprint with it (if you really want bad service, that is). Also, you can’t take the Verizon iPhone out of the country and expect it to work. Europe uses GSM. Canada uses GSM. Mexico, maybe you can find some CDMA service. Asia? GSM. Good luck Verizon users. When Verizon finally catches up with the rest of the world, I hope your iBrick is slightly more useful than my old Tracfone.
